On my tree, money does grow. Gold coins to be precise. Alas, I can't grow it in the garden, but I still enjoyed making a money tree. It's now above my desk in my studio, and it has my first $1 I earned with my business...really it's a $20 bill but I figured that was even better.
Growing up, I could live on frozen pizzas and boxed mac and cheese. Now, I feel like a pioneer exploring a new world of veggies, fruits, beans, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. When I was a little girl, I loved Little House on the Prairie and would fantasize about being Laura. Switching an entire family to a healthier lifestyle has seemed very much like venturing into new territory in order to make a better life for our family. Homeschooling our three children, we often explore new foods, try new techniques, and learn more about healthy living. Our garden focuses on veggies, herbs, and native plantings to attract wildlife. We also compost year round to maintain our raised beds.
